Beginning in the summer of 2016, Inyo County has been soliciting public input for the North Sierra Highway Planning area, an area that encompasses Highway 395 from the Highway 6/Wye Road intersection to Brockman Lane.

This planning process encompasses two distinct planning documents, a Corridor Plan, funded by a Caltrans grant and focusing on the mobility, connectivity and sustainability aspects of the Highway 395 corridor in the planning area, and a Specific Plan, focusing on land-use and development planning for the land immediately adjacent to the corridor in this same area.

The public input meetings up to this point have been soliciting input for both of these plans, but this meeting is focusing primarily on the Corridor Plan. A Specific Plan focused meeting will be occurring mid-summer, 2017.

At this meeting we will be presenting an overview of the draft Corridor Plan both to the North Sierra Advisory Committee and to the public in general. If you have any interest in this area we encourage you to attend.

The meeting will be: • May 25th, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., Northern Inyo Hospital Board Room (The Old Cerro Coso Building near Manor Market), 2957 Birch Street, Bishop, California.

If you have general questions or comments about this meeting or the Draft Corridor Plan, please contact Tom Schaniel of the Inyo County Planning Department at 760- 878-0405, or email:[email protected].
