BISHOP— The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will begin a $2.2 million emergency construction project on US Hwy 395 near Mono Lake, north of Lee Vining, CA starting Tuesday, July 12, 2016. The project will repair guardrail and install temporary rockfall protection measures due to damage from the Marina Fire.

The Marina fire started on Friday, June 24th and burned 654 acres above Mono Lake. As a result of this wildfire, US Hwy 395 sustained damage.

Drivers should anticipate daily lane closures along this stretch of Mono County, US Hwy 395 Monday – Saturday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. The traveling public should expect delays up to 20 minutes.

TOWN CONDUCTING MULTI-USE PATH CONSTRUCTION AND MINOR ROAD REALIGNMENT 
Mammoth Lakes, CA – The Town of Mammoth Lakes with the Constructor, Herback General Engineering will be constructing a multi-use path and road realignment in the Lakes Basin on Around Lake Mary Loop Road from Lake Mary Road to Lake George Road.
Lake Mary Road to Lake George Road Multi-Use Path Project
Construction is occurring near campsites at the Lake Mary Campground from Monday to Friday from7:00am to 5:00pm. The project area may experience traffic delays, dust from moving equipment, and loud noises, such as jackhammering, rock removal, and heavy equipment.
Work will be continue until late October 2016 and intermittently affect pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Some campsites will be closed for the duration of this project.
