The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) announced today that Klondike Lake will be open to public boating seven days a week beginning Friday, May 23, 2014 through Labor Day, September 1, 2014. Access to Klondike will be allowed daily for a one-hour period between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. All watercraft must still be inspected for invasive mussels before being launched into Klondike, and boat inspections will be done at the lake entrance gate only.

Klondike users must pre‑purchase a daily use inspection receipt or a “season pass” at the LADWP Administrative Office in Bishop. Klondike Lake gate inspectors will not handle any sales or cash at the gate. The LADWP office is located at 300 Mandich Street, Bishop, and Klondike inspection receipts must be purchased during normal work-week hours, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The charge for a single day use boat inspection will be $10, the same as last year. Season passes and multi-boat discounts are available.

One-Day Use Inspection Fee:$10/Boat

New Season Pass:$100 for First Boat, $50 for Second Boat, 

$25 Each Additional Boat
