In an effort to provide additional parking for Village patrons this Martin Luther King holiday weekend, the Town will temporarily remove parking restrictions on Hillside Drive and Berner Street. The following changes will be made to allow restricted parking from January 17, 2013 through January 21, 2013. The existing no parking signs will be covered or bagged, with new signs placed allowing 2-hour parking from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
· Parallel parking will be permitted where signed along the easterly side of Hillside Drive from the Westin Entrance to Canyon Blvd. Parking will be restricted to 2-hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
· Parallel parking will be permitted where signed along the westerly side of Berner Street from Forest Trail to the 90 degree turn across from the Mammoth Brewing Company. Parking will be restricted to 2-hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
These experimental holiday parking changes will be reviewed over several holiday periods to determine the effectiveness of the program, and to identify any issues or opportunities. Depending on the outcome of the parking program, a resolution may be presented to Town Council to consider and potentially adopt this temporary parking program.

Piss poor planning, zero common sense planning, what a shame.
I feel your pain small town girl.
Small Town Girl- A hard working small town girl with a real solution 🙂
Everyone knows that it isn’t un-common to have multiple jobs when you live in Mammoth. We depend on these holiday periods to pay our bills, and many of us work double time on holiday weekends. The parking at the village is an atrocity for employees. I work at the village at a restaurant, and also at the mountain. It isn’t unusual for me to go from job to job on a busy day. I do not have time between jobs to walk or take the bus to my next job. Not only have I begged parking assistants for help and still been charged to park, I have been late to work due to parking, and I received a ticket for being 20 minutes over the parking limit. I like that the town will be opening parking, but Can we consider employee parking again, PLEASE!
