Inyo employee groups and the County continue with negotiations over pay raises for some workers but not others. Officials say they can’t comment much because of the confidential nature of talks.
Workers revealed that County Administrator Kevin Carunchio and Sue Dishion (Di-shon) of personnel will meet with some workers Thursday. Another meeting had taken place on Monday. A source close to the situation said that employees did not know of the plan until last month.
Ms. Dishion confirmed that “We are in negotiations working on something that will benefit some of the employees in regard to classifications.” Dishion said that this is an item that is separate from the general memorandum of understanding with workers. She said that this involves all employee groups. Employees will eventually vote on the proposal.
A source said that some job titles will be changed and that County workers have not had any cost of living adjustments for three or four years. If employees approve the plan, the Board of Supervisors will have final say.

Hmmmm.
Very interesting.
Inyo County is negotiating for pay raises while a supervisor in Mono County (a former county employee) is ferociously leading an attack to have everybody’s salary reduced.
