Mill Creek Community Theatre/Benefit for Hospice of Owens Valley

June the 8th and 9th we are presenting a live musical and dance performance to
benefit Hospice of the Owens Valley, titled “Celebrate Life” at Mill Creek Station, Bishop. Gates open at 6pm, show starts at 7:30.

We are bringing together the talents of as many of the community arts organizations
as we can in our effort to refund and reinvigorate the selfless volunteers who see to the comfort of our  loved ones and ourselves as we reach the end of our time here together.

The production staff is comprised of people with decades of real experience in
the theatrical,  motion picture, music, and advertising industries, and some of us
have a few trophies to brag on.

Participating performers come from Play House 395, Eastern Sierra Film Coalition,
Inyo Council for the Arts, Mammoth Arts Council, Writers and Actors Guild of the
Eastern Sierra, Bishop High School, and many of the best regarded independent
musicians on the local circuit, featuring Dylan Vaughn from Hamburg, and John Millerburg of Bishop.

This event would not be possible without the generosity of Roger Derryberry
and Mary Lou Long of the Mill Creek Community  Theater, who not only are
donating the venue for this event, but Roger will be donating and operating
the professional lighting system, including the debut of the new projection/
animation backdrop system.  John Millerburg, an award winning special effects and animator
veteran, has created FX movies to run behind a significant portion of the fun,
adding to the delight of the world class Gypsy Wind band, complex vocal
harmony singing, and a plethora of terpsichorean turns by the best dancers.
The event will be filmed for DVD production by a professional crew for further fundraising.
