This will be a fun event to cover in your news. It is a fundraiser for the Mammoth Middle School 8th Grade Field Trip this Friday, April 20.
The 8th graders will be traveling to Manzanar, The Getty Museum and the Museum of Tolerance on an overnight field trip (on May 17 – 18), sleeping overnight in a hotel in Culver City. They have been fundraising for this trip all year (it costs $15,000 for all 90 students to go, and they still have to generate another $3,000). The trip is a life changing experience for the students who will follow-up on their classroom studies about world discrimination.
