Key Points:
- Temperatures will rebound above normal this week, bringing widespread Moderate HeatRisk by Tuesday and expanding areas of Major HeatRisk from Tuesday through Thursday.
- An Extreme Heat Watch has been issued for parts of Eastern Inyo County (Including Death Valley), most of San Bernardino County, Clark County, southern Nye County, and central and southern Mohave County.
- This watch is valid from 10am Tuesday morning (August 18th) through 8pm Friday evening (August 21st).
Thunderstorm chances will return late in the week, first favoring northwest Arizona then spreading into eastern California and southern Nevada Friday and into the weekend.
