Synopsis – FRI JUL 31 2026

Heat is here to stay, as strong high pressure strengthens over the Desert SW. Those hot conditions and poor overnight cooling will lead to Widespread Major Heat Risk in the Owens Valley. This heat looks to stick around thru at least next Tuesday. Bishop should see 107° by next Tuesday and Mammoth 85°. CPC (Climate Prediction Center) says a 80% chance of above normal temperatures for the next 6 – 10 day outlook…DMATT
