Filiberto Haro Cortez
With deep love and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Filiberto Haro Cortez, a devoted father, grandfather, partner, and friend, who passed away on July 1, 2026. Filiberto was born on September 8, 1950, in Jalisco, Mexico.
A dedicated family man, Filiberto leaves behind his beloved wife of 43 years, Amparo Haro Franco; his children, Yolanda, Eduardo, and Armando; and his cherished granddaughter, Galilea. He taught his family the values of hard work, humility, and love, expressed through his actions, traditions, and steadfast dedication.
Filiberto was a proud Inyo County resident for 45 years and a long-term employee of La Casita, where he served faithfully for 33 years. He will be remembered for his signature cowboy attire and his warm, joking personality that brought joy to those around him.
He is survived by his loving family and was preceded in death by his beloved parents and his brother, José Haro, along with other cherished relatives. Service details will be provided. His family will carry his memory forward through the lessons, stories, and love he shared so generously.
