Owens Valley Sweeps 2026 Hi-Lo League Bowling Championships
The 2026 Hi-Lo League Bowling Championships proved to be a historic day for Owens Valley High School as the Cubs delivered a dominant performance, capturing both the boys and girls team championships while producing the top individual bowlers in the league.
Competing against the best bowlers from across the Hi-Lo League at the Back Alley Bowl in Bishop, Owens Valley showcased depth, consistency, and outstanding individual talent throughout the championship event. From the opening frames to the final games, the Cubs established themselves as the team to beat in both divisions.
Leading the way for the boys team was league champion Michael McAlister, who earned the individual Hi-Lo League title with an impressive performance under pressure. McAlister’s steady scoring and clutch bowling helped pace Owens Valley throughout the tournament. He was joined by standout teammates Cash Antee and Samuel Rice, who both contributed strong series and key performances to help secure the Boys Team Championship for Owens Valley High School.
The girls division was equally impressive for Owens Valley. Avygnon Reilly-Todd captured the individual Hi-Lo League Championship after an outstanding day on the lanes, demonstrating consistency, focus, and competitive determination. Teammates Desiree Joseph and Enya Flores also delivered excellent performances, helping Owens Valley claim the Girls Team Championship and complete the school’s sweep of the league titles.
Owens Valley’s success at the championships reflects the hard work and dedication of the student-athletes throughout the season and Coach Cassandra Castillo. The Cubs demonstrated teamwork, sportsmanship, and composure while competing at the league’s highest level. By winning both team championships and producing individual league champions in the boys and girls divisions, Owens Valley High School capped off an unforgettable 2026 Hi-Lo League season and further cemented its reputation as one of the premier bowling programs in the league.
