Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil to Award 2026 Mono County Women of Distinction Honor to Christine Bouchard
Sacramento, CA — A representative of Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil’s (R–Jackson) office will award the 2026 Mono County Women of Distinction Honor to Christine Bouchard, a United States Navy veteran and Assistant County Administrative Officer, at the Mono County Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, April 21 at 9am at the Mono Lake Room (downstairs) of the Mono County Civic Center, First Floor, 1290 Tavern Road, Mammoth Lakes, CA. 93546.
Christine Bouchard currently serves as Assistant County Administrative Officer for Mono County and has quickly become a powerful advocate for veterans, military families, and the broader community. A U.S. Navy veteran, Bouchard re-established Veterans Day Celebrations in Bridgeport, restoring community observances that honor generations of local veterans and their service.
She played a key role in implementing the Mono County Military Appreciation Program and annual Military Appreciation Week. Bouchard also recommended and supported the creation of a new unpaid volunteer classification titled “Military Appreciation Liaison” to further strengthen support for veterans and their families. In addition to her advocacy work, she has provided outstanding leadership in county administration and served as Interim Emergency Services Director during critical recovery efforts following the Pack Fire.
“Each of the Women of Distinction represent the very best of our communities,” said Senator Alvarado-Gil. “Through their leadership, compassion, and commitment to serving others, they have made a lasting difference in the lives of those around them. I am proud to recognize Christine Bouchard’s extraordinary service to veterans, military families, and the entire Mono County community.”
The Women of Distinction program recognizes individuals nominated by their peers and community members for exceptional service, professional achievement, and dedication to improving the lives of others. Senator Alvarado-Gil will continue the series with honorees from each county in Senate District 4 throughout the Spring of 2026.
Senator Alvarado-Gil represents the 4th Senate District including the Counties of Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, Inyo, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Mono, Nevada, Placer, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne.
