Public Heard Loud and Clear from the City of Bishop Council Meeting

At the Monday, April 13, 2026, City of Bishop California Council Meeting, the public shared a lot of concern about the parking issue on HWY 395 South of Line Street. After that meeting, Caltrans District 9 has decided not to proceed with the project.

In a statement from Tawni Thomson, Executive Director of the Bishop Area Chamber of Commerce, “Mayor Muchovej told me CalTrans has decided not to go forward with the proposed red curb project. CalTrans PIO Lingburg confirmed that the project has been suspended.”
