Big George Invitational (Minden,Nv) Recap – 4/4/26

What a great day at the Big George Invitational in Minden, NV—tons of PRs, medals, and even new records. We competed against 15 schools including Incline, North Tahoe, South Lake ,Carson,Fernley, Truckee, Douglas, Reed, Mammoth, Lowry, and Bishop Manogue.

🔥 Boys Highlights

Hunter Dailey (Sophomore)
PR in the 100m with an 11.74, took 2nd place and a medal, and continues to push his sophomore class record.

Wyatt Miears (Sophomore)
Coming off an injury from March 7 and reporting he’s about 80% back—but still delivered:
25 ft PR from his Freshman season in Discus with a throw of 157’7”, 1st place (medal)
• Broke Joesph Lent’s 2025 BUHS school Discus record by over 3 feet
• Set a new Big George Invitational stadium record
• Beat the BUHS sophomore record by almost 40 feet

Carlos Sualez (Senior)
PR in the 100m (11.94, 10th place)
PR in Shot Put (39’11.5”, 6th place)

PR 46.64, 5th place

💥 Girls Highlights

Madyn Weller (Junior)
PR in Triple Jump (27’), 9th place

Charlotte Haverstock (Freshman)
The only freshman in the top 10 finishes in both sprint events:
• 100m – 13.87 (9th)
• 200m – 28.35 PR (9th, over a full second drop)
