Bishop, California Native Deston Rogers Reaches Global Audience as International Best-Selling Author

It is often said that a single connection can change the trajectory of a life. For Bishop, California native and radio broadcasting veteran Deston Rogers, one introduction did just that, landing him a spot as a contributing author in a book that achieved International Best-Seller status in less than 24 hours.

Released on March 27, 2026, the multi-author anthology, Miracles Are Normal: 69 Stories of Divine Interventions and Magical Manifestations, quickly skyrocketed up the charts. For Rogers, the opportunity to participate arose through a chain of unexpected connections, proving the power of reaching out.

A longtime friend, Jackie Gale, mentioned her recent participation in a book called Divine Rebirth. She suggested Rogers contact the publisher to see if she might be interested in appearing as a guest on his podcast, Eagle Freedom Presents.

Rogers took the leap, and publisher Dina Marais, based in South Africa, agreed, becoming his very first international guest. The connection didn’t end when the microphones turned off. Shortly after the interview, Marais reached back out, asking if Rogers would be interested in contributing a chapter of his own to her next project.

Having never participated in this type of collaborative authorship, he agreed.

“I wasn’t exactly sure what I was saying yes to,” Rogers said. “But I knew I was given this opportunity by a higher power. So, I jumped at it.”

It took some time for him to gather his thoughts, distilling his life experiences and the personal adversities he has overcome into a single, powerful chapter titled The Miracle of the Climb.

“We all have a unique story,” Rogers explained. “Some people keep their story to themselves, and that is perfectly fine. Others, like myself, are telling their stories—albeit mine is from a 30,000-foot view—so others can be inspired. Perhaps it will move them to tell theirs and give them the determination to take bold steps to start taking charge of their lives.”

The project also expanded his global network in unexpected ways. “I quickly became friends with over 60 other people from countries around the world,” he noted. “All because I said YES to taking the jump and trusting one connection.”

The International Best-Selling eBook for Miracles Are Normal is currently available worldwide on Amazon for $1.99. Rogers notes that readers don’t need a dedicated Kindle device to access the stories, as the free Kindle app allows the book to be read on any smartphone or tablet.

“Every single download helps spread the message of hope to those who need it most,” Rogers shared. “As you read these stories, my hope is that you begin to recognize the quiet, extraordinary miracles already present in your own life—the ones you may have overlooked during your own hardships. Because perhaps miracles are not the exception. Perhaps they are the norm.”
