The Broncos played their 4th league match of the year and our first home match last Wednesday. The Broncos again came out on top with an impressive win. We are really hitting our stride mid season and everyone has improved by 4-5 strokes since the beginning of the year.
The Broncos were led by Sophomore Francesco Toscanini finishing with a 77. August Veenker posted an 80, and Zane Nicholson finished with an 81. Reed Carpenter and Abram Crall each posted 87’s with Clay Jahn scoring an 88.
The Broncos finished with a team score of 412, our lowest team score of the year.
The team was excited and happy not having to travel this week and play on our home turf.
Kern Valley finished 2nd with a 497
Desert posted a 619 and Cal City scored a 652.
Assistant Coach Brock Romero took the lead Wednesday and did an amazing job. It’s great to have knowledgeable help and someone who loves the game, the team really responds to him. Brock has stepped in and made an impact immediately, I am very grateful to have him helping the team.
The Broncos will take the next week off due to Spring Break and will be back in action on Wednesday April 19th, starting the second half of the season in Cal City.
The JV’s will play Tonopah at home April 6th then travel that same week on Friday to play in the Tonopah Tournament
