Bishop varsity softball traveled to KV on 3/20 for their second league game and came away with the win 13 to 8 in seven innings.

Sadie Mairs started on the mound and went 4 and 2/3 innings.  Allowing 3 runs on 4 hits, 7 walks and 2 strikeouts.

Feather Montoya came in relief pitching 2 and 1/3 innings.  Allowing 5 runs on 4 hits and 1 walk.

Offensively for Bishop,

Faye Spoonhunter went 5 for 5 with 4 stolen bases and 3 runs scored

Tannyr Ludwick was 3 for 5 with a triple, 4 RBIs and 1 run scored

Ellie Boyd was 2 for 5 with 4 RBIs and 2 runs scored

Cambrie Lanphear was 1 for 5, with 1 stolen base, 1RBI and 1 run scored

Braydee Momberg was 1 for 5, with 3 RBIs and 1 run scored

Feather Montoya was 1 for 2, with 1 RBI and 1 run scored

Avery McGraw was 1 for 3, with 1 walk, and 2 runs scored

Azul Aranzubia was 1 for 4, with 1 stolen base and 1 run scored.

Laila Beall scored once.

 

It was a solid offensive performance for the team.  Having 16 hits to Kern Valleys 8.

Bishop’s record is now 1 and 1 in league.
