Synopsis – MON FEB 09 2026

It was dry and mild over the weekend, then clouds today, before a pattern shift finally looks likey by Tuesday. A shortwave from the Aleutian Islands rolls thru the area then, bringing increased chances of precipitation, particularly to higher terrain of Inyo and Mono County, with showers in the Owens Valley. Not a big storm (but we will take it), with Mammoth Main picking up 15 – 20 inches of fresh snow Tuesday and Wednesday. The forecast models are coming into agreement on another storm around Valentine’s Day weekend…DMATT
