Declaration of Intention Extension Period
February 4, 2026 – 5 p.m.
Inyo County Clerk-Recorder/Registrar Danielle M. Sexton would like to notify voters that the Declaration of Intention period for Judicial Candidates running for Judge of the Superior Court, Seat #1 (6-year term) has been extended till February 9, 2026. Any qualified members of the public interested in being a candidate for this position in the June 2, 2026, Statewide Primary Election are to contact the Inyo County Elections Office to receive further information.
Pursuant to Elections Code § 8023, all candidates for judicial office must file a declaration of intention no later than February 4, 2026. If the incumbent of a judicial office does not file a declaration of intention by this due date, the due date for that office is to be extended five days to any qualified persons other than the incumbent.
The following judicial candidates have formally filed their Notice of Intention:
Judge of the Superior Court #1: Dana Crom, Tylor Fitzmaurice
Judge of the Superior Court #2: Stephen Place*, Gerard Harvey
