Call to Order – The meeting was called to order at 1:01 p.m.

Roll Call/Quorum – Roll call established a quorum with the following members present:

Chris Langley, President; David Hefner, Vice President; Jessica Tex, Member; Joe Profita, Member; George Lozito, Member

Staff: Barry D. Simpson, Elyse Morrison, Tom Snyder

Approval of the Agenda – J. Profita moved, seconded by D. Hefner to approve the agenda. Motion carried 5-0.

Education Services – Key Results and Universal Design for Learning.

Ilissa Twomey summarized different English Language Acquisition (ELA) goals for schools in Inyo County.

Ilissa also presented an update on Universal Design for Learning (UDL).

Serena Johnson summarized Inyo County schools’ goals for combatting chronic absenteeism.

A. Approval of the November 13 minutes – J. Tex moved, seconded by G. Lozito. Motion carried 5-0.

B. Approve Budget Transfers prior to December 11, 2025 – G. Lozito moved, seconded by J. Tex. Motion carried 5-0.

A. Approve the 2025-2026 First Interim Report – D. Hefner moved, seconded by J. Profita. Motion carried 5-0.

OPEN ITEMS

Board/Superintendent Round Table – Upcoming visit to the Los Angeles based charter schools scheduled for March 16.

The USDA “Zoom Room” grant was awarded to the Inyo County Office of Education.

Serena Johnson reviewed the new ICOE website, which is set for a January 6 release date.

Capitol Advisors Budget Webinar is scheduled for January 30.

The meeting adjourned at 2:30 p.m. to the next Regular Meeting scheduled for Friday, January 16, in Shoshone.
