Is there a reason that the male athletes’ results are listed in excruciating detail down to 17th place while the women’s team only gets a one sentence mention of the 1st place runner? Kudos to the guys on a great race, but unless Ashley is the only female runner in the XC program, I can’t help but feel that this coach is relegating the women’s team to an after thought.
Coach Walsh is a great coach that is very giving of his time. He does an outstanding job with all the runners. He would not relegate a high school runner to an afterthought. There has been very strong female runners in the program the last few years (more than 1 run at the collegiate level currently). Yes, Ashley happens to be the only female runner currently. She is a very strong runner. I expect to see her name a bunch as she progresses through high school.
